Fresh Start

It is now Q4 of the year, 3 months after my last post which ended with me declaring of my decision to resign. I am truly amazed that I was able to go through of a good part of this year. From finishing a year at Digital Symphony, to successfully running the Soul Sisters camp, there were definitely plenty of successes and milestones reached.

Today’s entry marks my first day at a new workplace, a new environment, and a new career direction altogether. How this would progress is yet to be seen but I have faith that it can only go better from here. Having an organization that champions the dignity and future of children worldwide backed by its Christian identity, I truly am excited to be a part of this.

On another more somber note, the past week hasn’t been smooth sailing in terms of holding on to this leadership role in the Soul Sisters with constant questioning and challenges about a lack of growth and communication, failure to walk the talk, as well as the ability to uphold the dignity of every person. Perhaps what’s most frustrating on my part is how I’m unable to understand the full depth of the issue and to question why service has to be so tough.

Lord Jesus, model of servant leadership, please guide us and show us the way.
Mama Mary, His first disciple, guide us in giving our yes despite all difficulties and uncertainties.
