Reflections on Frozen II

With the release of the movie Frozen 2 in the cinemas, I’ve watched it for a total of three times within the month. It’s not just the amazingly detailed animation that I’ve come to appreciate. It’s also things like character development, storyline and the depth of symbolism that the movie portrays. For me, the character of Elsa has always been close to my heart and especially more this time around. Elsa started off not knowing who she was back in Frozen, having to hide her powers because of so much fear and expectation to act and be a certain way for the sake of the kingdom. Be the good girl you always have to be, Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know. Eventually, there came a time when she had to “let it go” and we know the history of what went down. Fast forward six years later, we see that the sisterly bond between these two Arendellian sisters still remains strong though Anna might be borderline overprotective. However, given the fact that Elsa still remai

My Web Series Is Up!

Have you ever had questions about the Catholic faith whether or not you're one yourself? With the help of the web and with so many theologians, religious, and even lay people like you and I constantly putting their thoughts out there, it's not hard to find the answers you're looking for at all! Some good content I greatly recommend would be Ascension Presents with their YouTube channel which is catered to young people, as well as The Matt Fradd Show . If you're into podcasts, here's a few you should check out too and see if you like 'em: Pints With Aquinas, Ask Father Josh, The Fr. Mike Schmitz Catholic Podcast (which has the same contents as the videos on Ascension's channel). -- What I'm here to talk about though, is how I started my own web series on YouTube and why I decided to do it. Episode 1 of Voices of Young Catholics Web Series 1. What sparked the interest? I've always enjoyed good media content and have always been wanting

Fresh Start

It is now Q4 of the year, 3 months after my last post which ended with me declaring of my decision to resign. I am truly amazed that I was able to go through of a good part of this year. From finishing a year at Digital Symphony, to successfully running the Soul Sisters camp, there were definitely plenty of successes and milestones reached. Today’s entry marks my first day at a new workplace, a new environment, and a new career direction altogether. How this would progress is yet to be seen but I have faith that it can only go better from here. Having an organization that champions the dignity and future of children worldwide backed by its Christian identity, I truly am excited to be a part of this. On another more somber note, the past week hasn’t been smooth sailing in terms of holding on to this leadership role in the Soul Sisters with constant questioning and challenges about a lack of growth and communication, failure to walk the talk, as well as the ability to uphold the dignity

My Top 2 Struggles Are Back For 2019

It's been half a year since my last entry. Where did all the time go? As I look back at the first half of 2019, there were so many things that happened, so many things that I've overcome and yet many more challenges continue to arise. I remember how the end of 2018 felt. I remember being thoroughly scared for the coming year, afraid of all the new and unknown things that were to come especially in terms of work. My anxiety spiked once again after working hard at it for 3 months from August till October 2018. The first day of work in the new year came and there were so many more new processes to get used to, more work load as the pressure to hit a better KPI was set. I knew I had to get help and so I did. Counselling at Monash started in early December and lasted till February around the Chinese New Year period. That became for me a constant space to go to after a hard day at work. Some weeks were better, others not so. The process was gruesome to put it. It was a tiring
